As an early learning professional, you know the importance of preparing children for kindergarten. Columbus Kids’ Learning Checkups are a new resource to help you provide the very best for the children in your care. Completed by parents or family members, the Learning Checkup uses the Ages and Stages Questionnaire, a short series of questions, to help identify strengths and potential developmental delays among preschoolers.
Our goal is to have every two and a half to four year old child in your care screened every six months. The Columbus Kids staff will help you through the process and will work with your families to make sure children get referrals for any intervention services they need.
Here’s how you can help:
- Contact Columbus Kids at 614-241-3089 to sign up and receive all of the information you need to get started.
- Enroll families in Columbus Kids and help them complete the Learning Checkups.
- Provide feedback to families on the results of the Learning Checkup.
- Give families who complete a Learning Checkup a $20 gift card and a children’s book provided by Columbus Kids.
- Enter the information in the Columbus Kids online database to receive a financial incentive.
